Ramsammy handing over new Lethem Hospital keys today

MINISTER of Health, Dr. Leslie Ramsammy, will lead a delegation for the formal handing over, today, of the keys to the new state-of-the-art Lethem Hospital and Diagnostic Centre.

Chairman of Region Nine (Upper Takutu/Upper Essequibo), Mr. Clarindo Lucas, said although work on the complex at Rupununi has been completed, no date has been set for the formal commissioning.

But that should soon be announced after a thorough inspection today and the operationalising of the facility will seek to improve the type of services offered while adding others, he said.
