Nurses Anaesthesia Two and a half (2 ½)  years Staff Nurse with one (1) year’s Post Graduate Experience
Critical Care Nursing One (1) year + three (3) months preceptorship

Staff Nurse with one (1) year’s Post Graduate Experience

Orthopedic Technician Nine (9)months + three (3) months preceptorship Four (4) subjects GCE ‘O’ Level, including English Language and any Science subject at grades A,B or C or CXC at grades I,II,III up to and including 1999 and grade IV from 2000.
Operating Room Technician Nine (9) months + three (3) months preceptorship Trained Patient Care Assistant

Patient Care Assistant

Six (6) months

Secondary Education up to Fourth (4th) Form.

Previous patient care experience in a health care environment or health related community work would be an asset.

Neonatal Intensive Care

One (1) year

Staff Nurse and/or Midwife

Masters Degree In Psychiatry Three (3) years

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized medical school that is accepted by the Medical Council of Guyana and full Registration from the Medical Council of Guyana . Plus

A minimum of one (1) year post-internship clinical experience.

Masters Degree In Obstetrics and Gynecology Four (4) years

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized medical school that is accepted by the Medical Council of Guyana and full Registration from the Medical Council of Guyana . Plus

A minimum of one (1) year post-internship clinical experience.

Masters Degree in Emergency Medicine

Three (3) years

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized medical school that is accepted by the Medical Council of Guyana and full Registration from the Medical Council of Guyana . Plus

A minimum of one (1) year post-internship clinical experience.

Masters Degree in Internal Medicine/ Infectious Diseases

Three (3) years

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized medical school that is accepted by the Medical Council of Guyana and full Registration from the Medical Council of Guyana . Plus

A minimum of one (1) year post-internship clinical experience.

Masters Degree in Family Medicine Three (3) years

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized medical school that is accepted by the Medical Council of Guyana and full Registration from the Medical Council of Guyana . Plus

A minimum of one (1) year post-internship clinical experience.

Post Graduate Diploma in Surgery
