Guyana will be a country in which mental health is valued, promoted, and protected, mental disorders are prevented, and where persons with these disorders are able to exercise their human rights, including access to health and social care that is timely and of high-quality, attainment of the highest possible level of health and the ability to contribute to the well-being of all Guyanese families and communities.


To promote mental well-being, prevent mental disorders, offer care, enhance recovery, and promote the human rights of persons with mental disorders, to reduce morbidity, disability, and mortality.
