Mandate

To reduce the incidence of malaria using the “Roll Back Malaria Initiative” of prompt, accurate diagnosis and immediate treatment.

Key Responsibility

The Vector Control Services Department is responsible for surveillance and disease prevention activities and management and control of the major vector-borne diseases namely Malaria, Dengue, Filariasis and Leishmaniasis (Bush Yaws). These tasks are guided by the national plan.
